Who Should Buy Arctis Nova 5X?
Good fit
Choose the Nova 5X if you play across several supported systems and want a single headset that can shift between gaming wireless and Bluetooth. The compact USB-C dongle covers Xbox, PC, PlayStation, Switch, Meta Quest, phones, and tablets.
It also makes sense for players who put battery life high on their list.
The 60-hour battery and quick USB-C charge can reduce charging interruptions, while the retractable microphone and on-ear mute and volume controls suit gaming setups where easy adjustments matter.
Who should skip it
Skip it if active noise cancellation is a must-have, or if you need confirmed microphone performance in windy outdoor conditions before purchasing.

Arctis Nova 5X Review Analysis
Wireless use across devices
The 2.4GHz and Bluetooth options give the Nova 5X two useful wireless modes, while the USB-C dongle broadens the systems it can serve.
That combination is appealing if a headset needs to move between console or PC gaming and phone use, though buyers should check that their specific setup matches the stated platform support.
Battery and charging routine
The 60-hour battery is the clearest convenience advantage for long gaming schedules. A 15-minute USB-C fast charge provides six hours of use, which can help when a session is coming up and the headset needs a quick top-up.
Game audio and controls
The companion app's game presets offer a way to tailor audio without relying only on default settings. Direct access to mute, volume, ChatMix, and wireless switching helps keep routine adjustments close at hand during play.
Microphone use
A retractable microphone is practical for players who alternate between voice chat and listening without a mic in front of them.
The high-bandwidth chipset specification is a technical feature, but it does not establish how calls will sound in noisy or windy surroundings, so frequent outdoor callers should check that use case carefully.
